Our Mission:
At Sunrise Robotics, we are dedicated to augmenting humanity through intelligent robotics. Our mission is to elevate the world of manufacturing by introducing intelligent, flexible robots that enhance human capabilities and existing machinery, ushering in the next era of production at higher quality, with less waste, and lower cost.
Our Vision:
We see a future where every element of manufacturing, from design to assembly, is optimised with intelligent automation. Our vision is to integrate flexible robotic solutions, based on generic hardware and advanced software/AI capabilities, into manufacturing, particularly in small and medium-sized enterprises, to make automation economically viable and accessible, for all sizes of manufacturers. We are not just building robots; we are creating the strategically crucial components for autonomous, intelligent agents of the future.
The Role:
We are seeking a Senior Simulation Engineer with a strong background in game development or simulation and a passion for robotics and intelligent systems in manufacturing. In this role, you will lead the design and development of high-fidelity simulation environments that replicate complex industrial systems. Your work will be critical in validating robotic control algorithms, testing edge-case scenarios, and accelerating development across robotics, AI, and systems engineering teams.
You’ll be responsible for creating realistic, physics-based assets, building dynamic and interactive simulation scenes, and implementing supporting tools and workflows. You will also play a key role in shaping our digital twin strategy, helping to bridge the gap between virtual and real-world manufacturing systems.
What You Will Do
Create and manage realistic simulation scenes in Isaac Sim
Design and implement physics assets that accurately represent robotic components
Develop diverse simulation scenarios for control algorithm testing
Implement logic and behaviors to control scene dynamics
Build supporting tools to streamline simulation development workflows
Contribute to the development of digital twins and simulation-based validation systems
Collaborate with AI, robotics, and other engineering teams to support cross-functional needs
Who You Are:
An experienced engineer with a strong background in simulation or game development
Experienced in working with engines such as Unity3D, Unreal Engine, Godot, or NVIDIA Omniverse for 5+ years
Solid grasp of 3D mathematics, particularly linear algebra and kinematics
Skilled in core simulation concepts like collision detection, rigid body dynamics, and particle systems
A clean and pragmatic coder who writes maintainable, well-documented software
A team player who thrives in collaborative, interdisciplinary environments
An effective communicator, able to translate technical details into clear and engaging narratives
Deeply passionate about robotics, automation, and the role of intelligent systems in modern industry
Naturally curious, self-motivated, and constantly exploring new tools and approaches
A proactive problem-solver who takes initiative and ownership from idea to execution
A quick learner who can ramp up fast on new tools, workflows, and concepts
Good to have:
Proficiency in Python
A portfolio (videos, screenshots, or demos) showcasing past simulation or game development projects
Familiarity with Isaac Sim or the NVIDIA Omniverse ecosystem
Understanding of Behavior Trees or similar systems for scene logic and orchestration
Experience with industry-standard physics engines like NVIDIA PhysX, Bullet Physics, or Havok
Ability to implement custom physics solutions, including constraints, joints, and soft-body dynamics
