Sales Account Manager – Flow Cytometry

In this role, you will be responsible for selling Flow Cytometry Instruments and Reagents, finding new customers and instrument opportunities, and managing the existing pipeline for Sony Biotechnology. You will report to the European Head of Sales.

We are looking for someone who has proven experience with flow cytometry and cell sorting. The candidate should have a strong flow cytometry network and similar experience in managing capital equipment sales with a resilient hunter mentality. This is a remote position with regular travel, and it is preferred that the candidate lives in Belgium.

Sony Biotechnology Europe (www.sonybiotechnology.com) is a leading innovator and provider of cell-based research analytical systems. Product offerings include conventional flow cytometers for analysis and cell sorting, spectral analysers and cell sorters, software, reagents, service and support. Sony Biotechnology Europe have an experienced and dedicated team of professionals to support these products and their customers. These systems provide some of the most pioneering solutions for cell researchers throughout the world.

You will:

  • Plan and manage personal business portfolio/territory, achieve forecasted sales goals while preserving acceptable gross profit levels
  • Plan and execute sales, funnel-building activities that ensure sales satisfaction and growth of the Sony Biotechnology portfolio
  • Provide forecasts, reports, marketing intelligence and information to the business
  • Develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and maintain sales activities in Salesforce (CRM)
  • Plan/carry out/support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales and integrate personal sales efforts with other organised marketing activities, e.g., product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions, and telemarketing
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information

You will bring:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in practical flow cytometry and cell sorting
  • Prior experience selling large capital equipment in the life sciences
  • Fluency in English. Professional knowledge of local languages is a plus.
