SOFTSWISS is hiring a Senior QA Engineer to join our Sportsbook Platform team. You’ll contribute to a high-performing, agile product environment—ensuring quality across services and user experiences through thorough testing strategies and active collaboration with cross-functional teams.
About Product:
The SOFTSWISS Sportsbook is a software platform designed for launching and managing a successful online sports betting business. The Sportsbook team’s goal is to develop truly innovative software that will make the process of creating and running a bookmaker website faster and easier for our clients. We are searching for driven individuals who are passionate about what they do and are ready to work on engaging tasks and exciting projects together.
Purpose of the Role:
You’ll define and execute end-to-end testing strategies to ensure reliability and quality of the SOFTSWISS Sportsbook Platform. Your work will impact microservices performance, service communication, and user satisfaction across key product areas.
Key responsibilities:
- Review and validate product requirements and technical documentation to ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Design, write, and execute detailed test cases and test plans across functional and non-functional areas
- Perform integration, regression, and exploratory testing for web interfaces and backend services
- Drive API testing (HTTP/WS), focusing on service communication and contract validation
- Monitor system performance and stability using tools like Sentry, Grafana, and others
- Actively collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QAs during sprints
- Maintain test documentation in TestRail, Jira, and Confluence
- Mentor other QA Engineers, sharing knowledge and improving team testing practices
Required Experience:
- 3+ years of experience testing web applications, including frontend and backend components
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes
- Hands-on experience with manual testing of APIs, user interfaces, and integrations
- Clear communication and collaboration in cross-functional, agile teams
- Russian proficiency at B2 level or higher
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
- Familiar with at least some of the following:
API testing using Postman or Swagger
Microservices architecture and service communication
Message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka
Writing SQL queries for data validation
Agile workflows and iterative delivery
Monitoring tools such as Sentry or Grafana
Nice to have:
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling)
- Exposure to contract testing frameworks (e.g., Pact)
- Familiarity with Git, Git Flow, and collaborative workflows
- Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization tools
