Function: Personal Brand Marketing | Social Media Marketing | Copywriting

Responsibility: Drive personal brand content marketing activity for the leadership team across LinkedIn, Twitter & Youtube

Reports to: Marketing Manager and occasionally the CEO

Location: Hybrid/flexible - Leeds Head Office and working-from-home options

Compensation: £25,000-£28,000 + 26 Days Paid Holiday

Founded by Olly Hudson and Joe Marston in 2019, Soar With Us is one of the fastest-growing advertising agencies for e-commerce brands in the UK with a team of 30+ A-Players. In the last 12 months, we’ve generated over £30m revenue for our clients using retention methods, including The Essence Vault, Spacegoods, Contempee, and many more.

We’ve been making changes to our organisational structure, recruitment processes, and sales funnels to unlock the next phase of growth. The Content Marketing Executive will play an important and exciting role in managing our internal marketing strategy for our leadership team!

Reporting directly to our Marketing Manager, you will lead the personal branding strategy of C-suite team members of Soar With Us and Hambi Media (Olly, Joe, and Loukas) to supplement our wider marketing strategy and ultimately drive more business into the Soar With Us group.

On a day to day basis you will plan, ideate, and execute on a robust personal branding strategy, not just with written content, but with photos and videos to supplement. This content would be gathered by travelling to relevant events taking photos and videos and then crafting compelling content for their social channels off the back of this.

This is a career-defining opportunity; allowing the right candidate to take on start-up-style responsibilities and have a direct impact on catapulting Soar into the stratosphere.

Main Accountabilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive personal branding strategy for C-suite team members, aimed at growing their following across multiple digital channels like LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube and ultimately using these as supporting channels to drive more business into the agency group
• Travel with the relevant team members to various events/activities, capturing key moments through photos and video content to share with their audience and highlight what goes on in their day-to-day
• Schedule, post, and monitor content across various social channels, ensuring optimal engagement and reach
• Analyse performance, pull insights, and strive to apply a data-driven approach to improvement over time. Refining strategy to ensure we are maximising reach and achieving key business objectives
• Provide expertise on current eCommerce best practices, including but not limited to; Paid Ads, Retention strategies, creative, CRO, landing pages, product strategy, Shopify and analytical tools
• Keep up to date with eCommerce best practices of today and tomorrow through training and research
• Effectively communicate the work that the wider team have been doing for our clients, using these results to highlight what we can do for brands and drive brands to book a call with us
• Effectively communicate and collaborate via Slack, Google Meets
• Embody our core culture pillars daily
• Provide written and multimedia content creation support to the marketing team (e.g. blogs, website copy, newsletter content)
  

Success in 6 months:

• You have developed good relationships with all members of the team. You’ve worked out what they’re good at, what they’re passionate about, and how you can lean on their knowledge to provide key insights to use in our content
• You have a rock-solid understanding of how we operate, our core values, and the services that we offer and you are communicating this to an external audience effectively. You’ve actively learned about any areas that are key to our operations so you can communicate effectively and confidently with anyone about them
• You are producing written and video content that can be used and distributed across multiple channels effectively and efficiently
• You have a clear understanding of who you are creating content for and ensuring it’s going to resonate with them, drive engagement, and ultimately build or following and presence in the e-commerce space in the UK and beyond
  

Success in 12 months:

• You are delivering high-quality written and video content across all of our channels that are elevating us as a brand and pushing us towards our goal of being the No.1 E-commerce Scaling agency in the UK
• You’ve shown that you can manage your own workload effectively, and you are proactive in managing your time and responsibilities
• You are working on bigger projects, collaborating with management in all areas of the agency
• It’s clear to anyone looking at our content that we’re market leaders, experts in our field, and know that if they were to come onboard that we’d get results for them that are unmatched when compared with other agencies
• DTC business owners are actively seeking out and engaging with our content, looking to what we produce to drive their businesses forwards and sharing to their networks
• You are constantly reviewing the content that’s being produced, reporting insights and action points to management, and actively looking for areas we can improve and opportunities we can take advantage of
  

Success in 24 months:

• The content that you’ve been making is consistently driving leads to the sales team and we’ve secured some huge deals thanks to the content that you’ve been working on
• You’ve progressed up the ranks and to management. As Soar grows, so do you. Content production has scaled up meaning we need a bigger team to manage more significant projects
• You’ve delivered multiple successful projects across the channels that we’re operating
• We know that we can trust you completely to create and manage amazing content across all of the channels we are operating in
• We can see in the results that you’ve moved us forward as an agency with the content you produce. You’ve helped cement Soar With Us's household name in the global e-commerce ecosystem

Experience & skills:

• Proven ability to produce and manage content across various forms, including video, photography, and written
• Strong understanding of how to succeed on platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube
• 1 - 2 years of experience in marketing or personal branding
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to change and adapt your writing style based on who you are creating content for
• High-level attention to detail, comprehension, and creativity
• Skilled with editing software and content management systems
• Knowledge of other channels that could be leveraged as part of a personal brand strategy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A passion for all things marketing and e-commerce
