Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and organized Production Planner to support manufacturingoperations by coordinating and scheduling production activities. The ideal candidate will workclosely with production, procurement, warehouse, and quality teams to ensure efficientoperations, timely product delivery, and optimal resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels,and production capacity.
Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials andcomponents required for production.
Monitor and control inventory levels of raw materials, packaging materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
Assess production capacity and resource availability to optimize equipment, manpower,and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, qualityassurance, and warehouse to align production activities with business objectives.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and operationalefficiency within production planning activities.
Participate in Lean Manufacturing (Kaizen) initiatives and continuous improvementprojects.
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including on-time delivery,inventory turns, and production yield.
Maintain accurate production planning records, reports, and documentation.
Coordinate daily packaging activities and raw material transfers from remote warehouses
to support finished goods production.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor to support departmental
operations.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, OperationsManagement, or a related field; or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in arelated field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chainmanagement within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems, preferably Syspro.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven
decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate
effectively across teams.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple
priorities.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement
Methodologies are an advantage
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and changing work environment.
