We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Protection Analyst to play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Data Protection & Privacy and ensuring our continued compliance with GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and PECR. This is a key position responsible for driving data privacy standards across our UK operations and providing expert guidance to teams in Ipswich, London, and Worthing, as well as supporting global data protection activities across US and AUS. You will be instrumental in communicating regulatory changes, advising on privacy matters, and embedding best-practice data protection processes across the organisation.
In this role, you will help shape and deliver our Data Protection & Privacy strategy, maintain core privacy documentation, and support ongoing compliance through audits, assurance activities, and stakeholder engagement. You’ll work closely with legal, IT, HR, Marketing, and other business functions to promote privacy-by-design, manage DPIAs and DSARs, oversee the OneTrust platform, and ensure staff receive appropriate GDPR training.
What skills/experience do I need to be successful?
- Strong ability to interpret data protection legislation and translate it into practical business requirements;
- Experience reviewing contracts to ensure compliance with data privacy obligations;
- Excellent stakeholder management and confidence engaging with senior leadership;
- Background in conducting data privacy audits and gap analyses;
- Thorough knowledge of GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and solid understanding of PECR;
- Awareness of how data privacy requirements apply within the energy sector or similar regulated industries.
