A respected Australian building and construction consulting firm specializing in structural
assessments, roofing systems, waterproofing, and remedial building works. The team supports multiple commercial projects across Australia and is seeking a skilled Filipino AutoCAD Drafter to assist with technical drawings and documentation.
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly detailed and technically strong AutoCAD Drafter who can support construction and remedial projects—specifically metal roof replacement, attic refurbishments, stormwater/drainage systems, and waterproofing works.
This role is ideal for someone with Australian or New Zealand project experience, strong
understanding of waterproofing and concrete repair, and the ability to produce compliant drawings based on Australian NCC 2022 and relevant standards. The client is currently doing most of the technical work alone, so your support will significantly improve project efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce 2D AutoCAD drawings for metal roof replacement, attic roof upgrades, andstormwater/drainage system redesign.
- Draft details based on NCC 2022 and relevant Australian Standards including:
AS 3500.3:2025 – Stormwater Drainage
AS 1562.1:2018 – Design & Installation of Metal Roof & Wall Cladding - Incorporate information from third-party survey plans (DWG & PDF).
- Prepare detailed construction documentation, including roof layout, flashing details, drainage plans, and attic refurbishment drawings.
- Coordinate around existing roof equipment and reflect accurate placement in drawings.
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback.
- If capable, assist in preparing technical specification documents for roofing and waterproofing works.
- Collaborate with the project lead through clear communication and regular progress updates.
- Optional: Assist in preparing capability statements and project documentation.
Job Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
- Strong AutoCAD 2D drafting skills – specifically for construction & roofing projects.
- Project experience in Australia or New Zealand (AU experience preferred).
- Solid understanding of NCC 2022 and relevant Australian Standards.
- Experience in waterproofing, concrete repair, and roof detailing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent English communication skills – written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple projects (approx. 5–6 projects) efficiently.

- Familiarity with construction workflows and engineering drawings.
Team & Work Setup
This role will support one Australian project lead (no prior experience working with VAs).
- Working hours are flexible, with regular alignment meetings as needed.
