Savoy Life was born from a deep understanding of the challenges faced by seniors and adults with disabilities in residential long-term care. Founder Peter Emigh, having dedicated his career to serving underserved, ill, and vulnerable seniors, witnessed firsthand the systemic issues leading to critical gaps in care and, ultimately, sub-optimal health outcomes. He recognized that while most owners, operators, and caregivers in long-term care (LTC) are mission-driven and compassionate, they are increasingly burdened with caring for more frail and clinically complex residents than ever before. The existing healthcare system, Emigh observed, had not evolved to adequately meet the unique needs of these operators or their residents. This disconnect often resulted in poor resident outcomes and weaker business performance for the communities.

Driven by a mission to break down these barriers to healthcare, Emigh envisioned a new approach. Thus, Savoy Life emerged from stealth, a first-of-its-kind company, launched with $3 million in pre-seed funding from Red Cell Partners. The company was purpose-built to be a dependable healthcare partner for LTC communities, designed to address the root issues plaguing the industry. Savoy Life's innovative model integrates virtual clinical services, remote technology, and a comprehensive wrap-around care model, including geriatrics and geriatric psychiatry. This approach aims to make healthcare work better for residential long-term care communities, their residents, and their families by simplifying operations, caregiving, and compliance. The ultimate goal is to improve occupancy, length of stay, healthcare access, and the quality of life for every resident, enabling them to live the life that matters most to them.
