NPI Engineer (Electrical Engineer Focus)

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer to lead the development of premium consumer electronics accessories. This role will serve as the technical bridge between Satechi’s U.S.-based team and our Asia-based suppliers, ensuring successful product development from concept through mass production.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical understanding of consumer electronics (PCBA and mechanical integration) with excellent project management and supplier engagement skills. This role will lead development programs, evaluate engineering solutions proposed by suppliers, and ensure product quality, reliability, and manufacturability.

This position is ideally based in Shenzhen, China or nearby cities, though candidates in Hong Kong or Taipei, Taiwan will also be considered. The role is remote, with frequent travel to supplier sites across China and Southeast Asia.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Product Design, Manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 5+ years of experience in product development, NPI, or supplier-facing engineering roles within consumer electronics or accessories.
• Strong understanding of PCBA-based product development, including electrical architecture, component selection, and system integration.
• Experience managing development programs through EVT, DVT, PVT, and production ramp.
• Hands-on experience working with ODM/OEM suppliers in Asia on electronics product development.
• Ability to review and evaluate schematics, BOMs, and technical documentation provided by suppliers.
• Familiarity with mechanical design principles, DFM/DFMA, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with USB hubs, adapters, chargers, keyboards, or similar consumer electronics accessories is highly preferred.
• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and proficient in English (written and spoken).
• Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple development programs simultaneously.
• Able to work independently and drive execution in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to travel frequently within China and occasionally to Southeast Asia.

The pay range for this position is up to $3,800 per month, with a performance-based bonus opportunity at the end of the year. The actual base pay offered is negotiable depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position also offers a full range of benefits.
