Job Description:

Safran Passenger Innovations is looking for a talented Design Engineer - Product Integration based in the UK to join the team. As a member of the Product Integration Team within the Customer & Program Management Department, you will play a role in configuring and integrating Safran Passenger Innovations' products onto Aircraft Seating, Aircraft Monuments, and Aircraft Platforms. You will be an integral part of our technical team, responsible for ensuring the successful integration of our products for Airline Programs. Your role will involve supporting the global team in delivering high-quality SPI Products and Services, as well as maintaining strong customer relationships. In this position, you will contribute to the configuration definition process, offering your expertise in aircraft platforms, seat and monument integrations, and the overall aircraft definition process. Ideally based around or close to Brighton or Gatwick, you will be working closely with one other team member within the UK.

Responsibilities:

• Independently represent the company at Technical Meetings with Seat and Monument Vendors and/or Integrators
• Provide seat integration designs and drawings as well as other electrical and/or mechanical drawings for the installation of company equipment onto aircraft
• Produce Engineering Designs consistent with company standards for our products and the integration into Aircraft Platforms
• System integration test and support as required
• Sales Support as required for technical aspects
• Perform installation designs independently
• Utilize knowledge gained to improve efficiency in supporting customer program delivery
• Interface with team members and be a contributing, value-added member of the team

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field
• 3-6 years of experience working in a similar role
• Experience in the use of AutoCAD application software (2D Design)
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and deliver results
• Experience working in a team environment
• Experience with IFE or aircraft installation design
• Prior project management experience preferred
