Profile Overview

We’re looking for a Content & Communication Manager who blends storytelling with operational rigor. You’ll bring picdrop’s voice to life, keep our content engine running, and have a direct impact on how we show up and are perceived in the photography industry. You’ll collaborate with the Marketing Lead and cross-functional teams to ship authentic, useful content that creatives actually care about.

Your immediate impact in the first 3-6 months will be:

  • Establishing a clear content calendar and publishing workflow across our channels.
  • Launching or reviving owned channels such as a newsletter or blog series that speaks directly to photographers and creatives.
  • Improving the quality, consistency, and visibility of picdrop’s content across web, email, and social platforms.

Your responsibilities

  • Own the content calendar end-to-end: planning, prioritization, deadlines, and smooth handoffs.
  • Plan, create, and manage content across our blog, email, website, and social media (Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn).
  • Coordinate and brief freelancers and agencies to ensure high-quality, on-brand output.
  • Repurpose existing content into new formats and optimize for different audiences and channels.
  • Keep our WordPress-based website and content library organized and up to date.
  • Experiment with new content formats, topics, and tools, including AI-assisted workflows, to improve efficiency and reach.
  • Track performance metrics and use insights to evolve our content strategy.

What You bring to the table

  • 3+ years of experience in content creation, content marketing, communications, or storytelling, ideally in a SaaS or creative industry.
  • A deep understanding of how creatives and photographers think and work. You understand the industry, their challenges, and what inspires them.
  • Good writing and editing skills with a clear, engaging tone in English; German is a significant plus.
  • Experience managing multiple content projects and freelancers simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace, and social media tools.
  • Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Notion AI) to boost creativity and productivity.
  • AI Literacy & Application: You actively use AI tools to enhance personal productivity and work quality, staying curious about emerging capabilities and identifying opportunities to apply AI pragmatically in day-to-day work.
