Senior UI and Visual Designer (2 positions)

Rolo Studios is seeking a Senior UI Graphic Designer and a mid-level Visual Designer

Core Responsibilities of all our Visual positions:

• Establish the look and feel for various interfaces, including websites, mobile devices, apps, kiosks, games and wearables

• Work within brand guidelines to create layouts that reinforce a brand’s style or voice through its visual touchpoints

• Design user-centered interaction models, wireframes or screen mockups

• Design logos, icons and infographics

• Closely collaborate with IT and business teams to solve complex issues, like complex interaction designs

• Create and organize production assets

• Resize assets for different devices — tablet, mobile and web

• Source images (stock photos and video footage)

• Work with a component library

• Work on email marketing items, presentation materials and interactive event materials

• Juggle multiple projects while effectively managing timelines and expectations

• Have basic coding knowledge so they can work hand-in-hand with coders would be considered a major plus

Advanced English required for Senior positions, basic to intermediate English is OKAY for Mid or Junior level positions

Excellent communicator, not afraid to speak in front of the team on Slack and other communication channels

Highly organized and able to hold fixed hours for team meets and project deadlines but also balance flexibility of possible 100%

Strong preference to Bogota-based for some % in-person at first, but good candidates living elsewhere may be considered!

Senior UI Requirements:

• 3+ years of User Interface and/or Visual Design Experience

  • Fortune 500 examples a plus

• The ability to take written creative concepts or lo-fi wires and transform them into beautiful and elegant web page or product designs that are on brand

• Experience with multiple design softwares including Adobe Creative Suite, InVision and Sketch

• Can demonstrate project leadership in previous projects and is willing to come into a leadership role for a young and talented team of designers and animators

• Any experience with video or animation would be considered a major plus

Visual Designer Requirements:

• Creativity, creativity, creativity. You like to conceptualize and create awesome things through digital mediums

• Experience with multiple design softwares including Adobe Creative Suite, InVision and Sketch

• Eagerness to pursue a career in Visual/Graphic design and have a passion for all things tech - be it video, marketing, animation, UI.
