Your Impact:
- Maintain the financials for several captive insurance companies domiciled in DE, TN, NC, and MT on a monthly basis.
- Enter bank transactions into Quickbooks and reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis.
- Analyze monthly investment account statements, enter investment account transactions in Quickbooks and reconcile accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare monthly journal entries in Quickbooks.
- Generate monthly financials in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with preparation of 1099s.
- Assist with preparation of annual reports.
- Prepare surplus calculations to determine amount of available surplus for alternative investments and dividends.
- Prepare bank transaction listings
- Prepare investment calculations to determine amount available to be invested.
- Timely respond to audit and examination requests from auditors and regulators.

Successful Candidates Will Have:
- BS degree in Accounting/Finance (preferred)
- 2+ years accounting experience in a relevant industry (preferred)
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
- Awareness of business trends
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, such as QuickBooks
- Basic MS Excel skills
