Overview

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Developer for a prominent tech firm in the digital marketing sector. Their technology runs thousands of websites, offering products that aid clients in user retention and provide valuable website analytics.

The ideal candidate will be a proficient and driven Full Stack Developer. Your role will involve developing and maintaining web applications using PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript, with a strong focus on object-oriented programming (OOP) principles. Additionally, you will have the chance to mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript.
• Implement best practices in software development, including OOP design, coding standards, and testing.
• Optimise application performance for scalability and speed.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Assist in designing and conducting training sessions for junior developers.

Required Skills

• Proven experience with PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of web development principles, architecture, and best practices.
• Experience with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of relational database design and query optimisation.
• Understanding of web security principles and best practices.
• Experience with AWS.
• Some experience with Node.js.

Desirable Experience

• Familiarity with Docker.
• Knowledge of caching techniques (e.g., Redis, Memcached).
• Familiarity with UNIX-like operating systems, including basic Bash scripting.
