Remote World is partnering with a UK-based property management platform to hire for this role. They manage communication and maintenance requests for over 50,000 tenants across the UK, and their support team is what makes the difference between a stressful tenancy and a smooth one.
The role
You'll handle inbound queries from tenants via live chat and email — logging maintenance requests, answering questions about tenancy agreements, and escalating urgent issues to property managers. Calm, organised, and empathetic is the job description.
What you'll do
- Handle inbound tenant queries via live chat and email
- Log and track maintenance requests and follow up until resolved
- Answer questions about lease terms, rental payments, and platform features
- Escalate urgent issues (e.g. heating failure, water leaks) to property managers immediately
- Keep tenants updated on the progress of open maintenance cases
What you'll need
- Clear, professional written English
- Empathetic — housing issues affect people's daily lives
- Organised — you track multiple open cases and follow up reliably
- Calm under pressure when tenants are distressed
Nice to have
- Experience in property management, lettings, or housing support
- Familiarity with property or facilities management software
- Understanding of basic UK tenancy law (helpful, not required)
