We are seeking an Accountant to support the Company’s day-to-day finance and accounting operations and ensure accurate record-keeping. The role focuses on transactional and operational finance activities and supports the finance team in maintaining effective financial processes. The role will contribute to business growth and sustainability. This position reports directly to the Accounts Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle day-to-day finance and accounting operations
- Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting support
- Responsible for maintaining accurate records and supporting documentation
- Responsible for the preparation of Accounts Receivable & Payable on a timely basis
- Liaise with creditors and debtors when required
- Leverage digital tools, including AI-enabled solutions, to improve efficiency, accuracy, and workflows within processes
- Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure expenses are accurately recorded and allocated to the correct business units, and support budget tracking and cost management across the organisation.
- Perform any other task as assigned by the Accounts Manager
- Other ad-hoc duties assigned
- Min 5 of relevant working experience
- Degree in Accounting / Finance or related field
- Prior audit experience will be an added advantage
- Experience with accounting software (Netsuite)
- Understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
- Team player who is driven and able to work in a fast paced environment and under pressure
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Meticulous and able to multi-task.
