The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation of systems, networks, and security protocols. This role is fully remote and requires a proactive individual who can troubleshoot technical issues, implement new technologies, and support both end-users and business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, networks, and cloud-based systems.
- Manage system security, including firewalls, antivirus software, and data protection protocols.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure system integrity and performance.
- Provide technical support to internal users and ensure minimal downtime for IT-related issues.
- Implement and manage Active Directory, Office 365, and cloud-based applications.
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy and configure new software, hardware, and system upgrades.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for increased efficiency.
- Document system processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, regulations, and best practices.
- Assist in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, and macOS environments.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V, etc.).
- Experience managing Active Directory, Group Policies, and Office 365 administration.
- Proficiency in scripting languages for task automation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or Cisco CCNA.
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of ITIL principles and best practices.
