Job Description

BBH Stockholm is seeking an experienced Design Director to join our agency. As a key leader within our organization, you will have the opportunity to shape and drive the creative direction and design strategy of BBH Stockholm. We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating exceptional user-centered product experiences and who can inspire and lead our design team to deliver the highest quality work for our clients.

About this role

• At BBH, teamwork is essential. As a member of our close-knit team, you collaborate with UX designers, strategists, and creative technologists to create exceptional digital experiences. In your role, you take the lead in managing the design team and fostering a positive feedback culture where everyone feels valued, heard, and motivated.
  Your responsibilities also include guiding the career development and personal growth of the design team, as well as identifying areas for improvement and providing opportunities for skill enhancement. Additionally, you serve as the representative of the design team in client and stakeholder discussions, demonstrating our expertise and capabilities.
  You will also are a key person in our PR and marketing strategy

Areas of responsibility

Design leadership

• Owns and drives the creative direction and design strategy of the agency
• Lead by example in terms of best in class service design and digital brand experiences
• Work closely with other disciplines, both colleagues and clients, and embrace cross discipline collaboration
• Advocates user centered design practices
• Identify and act on design opportunities for new and existing clients
• Be able to articulate your ideas clearly and communicate them through inspiring storytelling, both in Swedish and English

People leadership

• Nurturing the career path and personal development of the design team, making sure everyone is seen, heard and motivated
• Continuously push level of craft by identifying skillset gaps and enabling upskilling
• Lead a collaborative feedback culture, encouraging transparency and presentation
• Lead the recruitment of new designers and creatives
• Ensuring constant on-time delivery of the highest quality design

Agency leadership

• Continuously evolve our product and positioning in a competitive and changing industry landscape.
• As a member of the management team, you're a proactive driving force in the continuous development of our people and our product.
• You are a key person in our PR and marketing strategy and execution.
• Oversee creation of award entries and case studies of key projects, ensuring they are distributed across the business to relevant people (e.g. client team etc)
• You collaborate with other parts of BBH and Publicis Groupe to realise synergies from a product, people and business perspective.

How we work

Hybrid workplace

• Our brand new office is in Stockholm (Odenplan), and we travel to users and clients when needed. We have a flexible schedule and aim to be at the office twice per week. We don’t offer any roles fully remote.

Language

• For this role, you need to be able to speak (and write) Swedish and English fluently.

Organisation

• We are set up in three disciplines – design, UX and tech. People from different disciplines and teams always work together in projects and across missions. BBH is a part of Publicis Groupe.

Qualifications

• A seasoned Design Director with a focus on digital product design who can take ownership of the creative direction and design strategy of our agency.
• An individual who can inspire others and lead by example in terms of best-in-class service design and digital brand experiences.
• Someone who can collaborate effectively with other disciplines, both internally and with clients, driving cross-discipline collaboration.
• A system thinker, someone who is able to see how things are interconnected, zoom in and out and move across silos
• Demonstrated experience within product design, showcasing a track record of successful projects and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles in the context of digital products.
• Someone who lives in Stockholm or in commuting distance from our brand new office at Odenplan
