ProAmpac is looking for a Quality Technician to assist the Quality Assurance Lead with the day-to-day tasks of the quality program within the plant. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that final products meet the company's established quality standards and adhere to all customerspecifications. The Quality Technician plays a critical role in maintaining product integrity, supporting continuous improvement, and promoting a strong culture of quality across the operation.
Wage: $18 - 24/hr, DOE
Essential Duties and Tasks:
- Maintains quality defect/rejects records
- Test production material to ensure material meets customer specifications
- Uses good judgment and honesty during decision making.
- Operates lab testing equipment to meet customer specifications
- Inspects press and extrusion production and quality checklists daily.
- Performs on-the-spot corrections of deficiencies and/or coordinates with Shift Lead, Quality Manager, Department Manager or other support group for corrective action.
- Reviews production schedules, manufacturing order information, and other production documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Performs in-lab test, press and extrusion side checks and other quality inspections and tests as required.
- Performs incoming inspection; verifies received product is correct to shipping documents, weight and impression quantities.
- Collect raw data for statistical studies; enter into Excel spreadsheet and SPC software.
- Performs product trace via retain samples, work order documentation and dates.
- Completes Customer Certificates of Analyses (COA) via Excel and Customer websites.
- Performs gage calibration, maintains calibration documents, identifies gages and instrumentation with correct due dates; maintains inventory of items and locations.
