The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing an efficient and effective procurement operation for acquiring materials, supplies, equipment, and services in connection with the delivery of services supporting clinical trials.
Requirements
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the company’s objectives.
- Managing the solicitation process, including reviewing/comparing specifications and costs and where appropriate supporting negotiation with vendors to reduce costs.
- Negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure the best possible prices and agreements.
- Developing tools and processes to support efficient and quality driven procurement activities.
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the industry’s market trends and developments.
- Leading transformational activities to build organizational procurement capabilities and improve procurement efficiency.
- Delivering value and competitive advantage measured by cost reduction and cost avoidance, vendor-enabled innovation, and risk mitigation.
- Ensuring compliance in purchasing process, especially in vendor selection and bidding.
