Manager, Cloud Engineering

The Cloud Engineering Manager will lead the design, delivery, and optimization of QuartzBio’s secure, scalable cloud infrastructure. This role oversees a team of cloud engineers, driving best practices in automation, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency across our AWS environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in CloudOps/DevOps, focused on building and managing scalable cloud infrastructure and automation.
• Proven experience in AWS services and Terraform, with strong proficiency in Infrastructure‐as‐Code practices.
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes/EKS and Helm Charts for application deployment and lifecycle management.
• Proven experience working with CI/CD pipelines, especially using GitLab, Docker, and Kubernetes integrations.
• At least 2 years of people leadership experience, including coaching engineers, providing technical direction, and managing team performance and execution.
