Job Description:
We are seeking a Documentation Engineer to support our application, infrastructure, and network teams with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure environments. The Documentation Engineer will play a critical role in creating, maintaining, and enhancing documentation related to our Azure-based systems. This role requires a deep understanding of Azure services, network configurations, and infrastructure components to ensure that documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and comprehensive.
Responsibilities:
- Create and Maintain Documentation: Develop clear and comprehensive documentation for Azure-based applications, infrastructure, and network configurations, including diagrams, architectural designs, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with application developers, infrastructure engineers, and network specialists to gather information and ensure that documentation aligns with the actual environment.
- Update Documentation: Continuously update existing documentation to reflect changes in Azure resources, configurations, and deployments.
- Version Control: Implement version control and document change management processes to keep track of document revisions and maintain a history of changes.
- Best Practices: Stay informed about Azure best practices and make sure documentation aligns with the latest industry standards.
- Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate knowledge sharing within the organization by conducting training sessions and workshops for team members.
- Troubleshooting Guides: Develop troubleshooting guides to help the support and operations teams quickly resolve issues related to Azure systems.
- Security Compliance: Ensure that documentation includes information about security measures and compliance requirements in Azure environments.
- Documentation Tools: Utilize documentation tools and software to create, organize, and manage documentation efficiently.
- User-Friendly Documentation: Create user-friendly documentation that can be easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience working with Microsoft Azure, including familiarity with Azure services, virtual networks, security, and infrastructure components.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Confluence, Markdown, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and documentation management tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
