Job Overview

As a Hand-Drawn Digital Portrait Illustrator, you will create custom digitally-painted portraits from customer-provided photographs. This role blends illustration skills with digital painting in a raster-based environment. Mastery of raster-based digital painting software (Photoshop, Procreate, or similar platforms), strong understanding of layer-based digital painting with “wet media / watercolor style” digital brushes and solid line work, ability to work with high-resolution files and export artwork in various sizes while maintaining quality and attention to detail, and an ability to capture facial likeness across subjects of all ages are a must.

What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities

• Create custom digitally-painted portraits from customer-provided photographs.
• Work from images of various subjects including couples, families, children, and pets.
• Deliver high-quality artwork suitable for both small and large format printing.
• Maintain consistent artistic style while adapting to individual client needs.
• Receive and implement feedback and required art edits with a quick turn-around, from Senior Art Director and other Design Leads.

What You Should Have
Skills, Qualifications, and Requirements

• Mastery of raster-based digital painting software (Photoshop, Procreate, or similar platforms).
• Solid understanding of basic digital painting principles in a layered environment (opacity + other layer settings, working with a variety of brushes, exporting work for print, etc.)
• Solid ability to capture human and pet likenesses with a digital watercolor and black line look/feel.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently while collaborating remotely.
• Curiosity and adaptability; willing to learn and develop as our product assortment and customer base expands.

Working Conditions

• Position requireslong-term, part-time position with fully remote work, scheduled from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM U.S. Central Standard Time.
• Position requires regular, continuous use of computer.
• Position requires regular sitting and standing.
• Position requires regular interaction with team members through the following methods: phone, WebEx, Slack, or email.
• Position requires time and screen tracking via Hubstaff

Work from Home Requirements:

• Own computer (Windows 10 or higher or Mac, at least 8GB RAM and at least Intel i5, Ryzen 5 or M1 processor)
• Reliable high-speed internet access
• Noise-cancelling headset (if applicable)
• Private, distraction-free environment (if applicable)
• Digital painting device

Pay Rate:

• Pay Rate: ₱450 per hour
