Principal Back-End Engineer

PhantomBuster is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer to lead backend and platform architecture, build reliability and developer velocity, and introduce safe, pragmatic AI to accelerate delivery and quality. The team is focused on AI-powered sales coaching and leveraging AI to improve engineering practices. This role provides a high degree of autonomy, mentorship, and significant impact within a rapidly scaling SaaS company.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years in backend/infrastructure engineering, ideally in SaaS at scale
• Proven track record in a Staff, Principal, or senior technical leadership role
• Experience leading large, distributed, or high-complexity systems
• Technical skills in TypeScript / Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, and cloud experience (AWS preferred)
• Solid grounding in system design, reliability, and security
• Strong observability skills (metrics, tracing, logging)
