A Day In The Life…

As a Mid-Level Web Analyst at Petlab Co., you will report directly to the Lead Web Analyst, becoming a key member of our growing team of talented analysts. Your contributions will be central in enhancing our web analytics capabilities, providing insights to drive business growth. Your daily responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Analytics Development: Crafting and implementing web analytics strategies that align with and support our business objectives.
  • Data Analysis & Modelling: Analysing and modelling web data to gain insights into customer behaviour and enhance website performance.
  • Tool Management & Optimization: Managing and refining web analytics tools and reporting systems for optimal performance and insight generation.
  • Optimization Support: Providing key support in web and marketing optimization projects, including A/B testing and conversion rate enhancement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with internal teams to ensure web analytics strategies are integrated with broader business goals.
  • Analytics Integration: Leading efforts to create a more cohesive and efficient web analytics environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of web analytics implementations.
  • Proactive Issue Resolution: Identifying and addressing challenges in tracking and analytics setups promptly.

Requirements

What You Need…

  • Relevant Experience: A minimum of 3 years in web analytics or a related field.
  • Analytics Expertise: Demonstrated ability in managing web analytics platforms and deriving actionable insights.
  • Data Analysis & Visualization Prowess: Robust skills in data analysis and visualization.
  • Independent Thinking: The ability to think critically and independently.
  • Digital Marketing Acumen: Familiarity with digital marketing, SEO, and e-commerce analytics.
  • Technical Proficiency: A broad understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and familiarity with tag management systems.
  • Hands-On Web Analytics Tools Experience: Practical experience with tools web analytics tools, including modelling raw event data.
  • Tracking Plan Expertise: Proficiency in creating and implementing comprehensive tracking plans.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Knowledge of tracking regulations and their impact on data quality.

Technical Skills

  • Analytics Tools Mastery: Proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and Snowplow (which is the web analytics tool currently used as part of the Petlab Co. data stack)
  • Raw Data Handling: Experience in working with the raw exported event data from web analytics tools.
  • SQL & Visualization Tools: Strong command of SQL and proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI, Google Data Studio.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with analytics and tracking implementations.

Desirable

  • A/B Testing Experience: Experience with A/B testing tools and methodologies.
  • Customer Journey Knowledge: Understanding of web optimization and customer journey analysis.
  • Advanced Data Analysis Skills: Knowledge of R, Python, or other data analysis languages.
