Python Engineer (APM)

The role is about:
The Alternative Payment Methods team is dedicated to designing, developing, and implementing innovative payment solutions that provide diverse and flexible options for users. Our goal is to deliver successful products and establish a reputation as a trusted partner for our clients in the evolving payments landscape.

Location: Hybrid in Vilnius Offices or 100% Remote in Portugal or anywhere in Europe

Reporting to: Technical Lead


What you will do:  

• Work closely with the team Lead to identify the key architecture drivers and Non-Functional Requirements for a core customer facing product.
• Match the best suitable frameworks and tools for the designed architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, business analysts, and other developers, to understand and implement business requirements.
• Constantly add value to the team by writing readable, testable and efficient code.
• Maintain and develop engineering culture.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Who you are:You have a solid understanding of distributed systems and integrations, enabling you to work with complex architectures efficiently. With experience in delivering strong testing practices, you ensure the software is reliable and well-validated. You excel at implementing solutions that reduce performance issues, complexity, and fragility, ensuring the stability of the systems you work on. Your ability to write robust and fault-tolerant software allows you to deliver solutions that run smoothly and reliably, even under challenging conditions.

What we’re looking for:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Software Development or Computer Science
• Experience: 5 years of experience developing high-load scalable applications
• Knowledge: Experience in the Fintech or Ecommerce industry (preferred but not mandatory).

What we need:

• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Django, FastAPI and designing and implementing REST API.
• Experience with technologies such as Git, Debian, Docker, MariaDB, MongoDB and preferably Apache Druid.
• Experience with technologies such as AWS & DynamoDB.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to details.
