SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Remote Monitor, your primary focus will be the analysis and documentation of remote patient data. Responsible for monitoring vital signs remotely and calling the patient to assess need for intervention by their healthcare provider or whether further monitoring is appropriate

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Monitoring patients’ health and vital signs using RPM technology.
  • Alerting healthcare providers if any concerning changes occur.
  • Acting as a direct liaison between the patient and the office/provider
  • Enrolling patients in the clinic and educating them on the benefits and expectations of RPM program
  • Screening patient load to determine eligibility for services
  • Call patients monthly and as needed for clinical review and abnormal vital sign alerts
  • Ensure that devices are properly configured, calibrated, and maintained. Coordinate device replacements or upgrades as needed.
  • Ensure that documentation is entered into electronic health records or other documentation systems in a timely and organized manner.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

  • The position requires a valid, unrestricted Arkansas Registered Nurse license, BLS certification, current influenza vaccination. One (1) year of prior clinic experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
  • Proficient computer literacy

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are expected to include 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime may be required. The position operates in a professional office environment and the incumbent, in the course of performing this position, spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, walking, standing, and reaching. The incumbent may operate any or all of the following standard office equipment including but not limited to multi-line telephone system, postage meter, facsimile machines, calculator, photocopy machine, computer/printer, and coffee maker. The incumbent may operate medical equipment. The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
