About the Role
The Salesforce Technical Account Executive is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities within a defined territory across multiple industries in small to medium businesses. This role requires a solution focused mentality, strong, high volume sales acumen. A deep technical understanding of CRM platforms, ideally Salesforce and its value proposition is paramount. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas.
What You’ll Do
Opportunity Generation
- Identify and qualify potential new business opportunities throughout the Western half of the US, through various Salesforce channels, including networking, industry events, and social selling.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads.
- Meticulous leverage of Salesforce CRM to track and manage all sales activities.
Sales Presentations and Demonstrations
- Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations that effectively communicate the value proposition of Salesforce solutions to prospective clients.
- Tailor presentations and demonstrations to address the specific needs and challenges of each client.
- Effective co-selling with Salesforce sales team.
Needs Analysis and Solution Selling
- Negotiate and close deals with prospective clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that meet both client and company objectives.
- Accurately forecast sales revenue and track progress towards achieving sales quotas.
Stay Updated on Industry Trends
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, competitive landscape, and Salesforce product updates.
- Continuously develop and enhance sales skills through training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of experience in sales or solution engineering, with a proven track record of success in selling Salesforce or CRM solutions.
- Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, including its core features, functionalities, and industry best practices.
- Proven experience with salesforce or CRM clients demos.
- Strong sales skills, including high volume prospecting, negotiating, and closing business.
- Highly motivated and results-oriented with a strong drive to exceed sales targets.
- Ability to develop tailored Salesforce solutions that align with client goals and objectives.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal in a client facing capacity.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities, up to 50 accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend conferences, and represent the company at industry events. Travel estimated at two days per month to Salesforce Hubs.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- West Coast based or willingness to work Pacific time zone hours.
