We are looking for a Senior Application Developer to join our Engineering team. This remote-based role reports to the VP of Development and will lead other application developers in the creation of multi-tenant web-based SaaS application, mobile application, and systems integration platforms.
What you'll do:
As part of the Engineering team, the Senior Application Engineer will identify best technical solutions for the successful execution of our roadmap strategy. This role writes detail technical specifications specifications for each of the identified solutions, and assumes technical responsibility for all stages of the software development process to ensure compliance with application development standards and achievement of documented requirements. This role will engage in building POCs solutions to explore new options and technologies.
The success of this role means solutions meet the specified requirements and are deployed on time with quality.
Key responsibilities:
- Leads the technical design and development of functionality for new and existing application
- Steers code reviews as part of the development process.
- Builds user interface applications and back-end databases using various programming and scripting languages; creating functional specifications for internet and web-based projects.
- Supports the continuous delivery of service including; applications use auditing, development of software utilities, and application development procedures
- Supports quality assurance and user acceptance testing activities.
- Keeps apprised of upcoming technologies and development best practices.
- Recommends solutions based on the advantages and disadvantages of different available options.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Managers(s).
Our ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, software engineering, or mathematics.
- 5+ years of experience of web applications.
- 5+ years HTML, XML, CSS, Javascript, C#, .Net, and Visual Studio.
- Experience in Javascript frameworks such as Angular, Kendo, JQuery and etc.
- Experience working in an Agile environment and other SDLC methodologies.
- Proven ability to develop applications based on requirements.
- Proven ability to lead and direct offshore teams.
- Proven ability to lead the troubleshooting and root cause analysis of issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with service orientation.
- Experience working with cloud hosting such as Azure and or AWS.
