Job Summary
The Supervisor, IT Applications coordinates the activities and priorities of team members and provides leadership for the development and support of applications and associated technologies and tools. The Supervisor is responsible for assisting with application issues, ensuring appropriate documentation exists, coordinating cross-training efforts with staff, managing and planning projects, monitoring issues, and maintaining vendor, consultant, and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
- Serves in a support leadership capacity in upholding team members for supporting and maintaining applications.
- Coordinates cross-training efforts and assists with the orientation of new staff.
- Analyzes information required to make clinical and business decisions. Translates data into meaningful information with appropriate customer communication.
- Mentors and provides work direction for team members to ensure the timely and cost-effective design and implementation of software application systems.
- Coordinates a team to complete specific projects or support efforts within the applicable realm of expertise.
- Provide feedback to the manager for team member performance evaluations. Assumes leadership role when the manager is unavailable.
- Demonstrates technical proficiency and is seen as an expert within assigned clinical and business functions.
- Pioritizes tasks and resources to achieve goals and communicates priorities to other team members. Escalates issues appropriately and timely to management.
- Able to identify and pull together the appropriate individuals across teams, customer base, and leadership for collaboration on issues and projects.
- Helps the Manager coordinate efforts to ensure the team achieves goals and metrics.
- Capable of communicating effectively with management and customers to provide technical and solution guidance.
- Initiates systems design specifications, and prepares flow charts, block diagrams, and report layouts using current design techniques or functional program specifications.
Skills and Experience
- 6 years: Successful analytical experience within a complex healthcare or IT environment
- Organizational, Verbal, Interpersonal, Customer Relations, Mathematical, Analytical, Grammar/Spelling, Read/Comprehend Written, Follow Verbal Instruction, High-Level Computer Skills, Microsoft Suite Applications Minimum Years of Experience
- BS/BA in a related field and 5 years of related experience.
- 3 years of supervisory experience Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Higher level analytical and IT solution design skills; evidence of informal leadership ability
Additional Details
- The Applications – Clinical Imaging team focuses on application support specific, but not limited to, radiology and cardiology imaging applications (radiology PACS, cardiology PACS, dictation software, EKG software, imaging post-processing software).
- The team consists of three supervisors. This supervisor position is specific, but not necessarily limited to, radiology PACS.
- Long distance or air travel as needed – not to exceed 10% of travel
- Required to car travel to off-site locations, occasionally in adverse weather conditions
