Northern European Region (UK/Germany/Switzerland/Denmark)
In this position, you will manage and strengthen the relationships with our biggest accounts across Europe and be responsible for building and nurturing long term key customer relationships. You will understand their requirements, identify needs and promote our products and solutions to achieve mutual satisfaction. The goal is to contribute to sustaining and growing our business to achieve long-term success. To do this will involve extensive one to one interaction with key decision makers and therefore requires a person with a very high level of interpersonal, negotiation and presentation abilities.
The Role
- Develop existing and close new Key Accounts to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction and grow long term profitable business relationships.
- Achieve sales targets for territory; ensuring a balance of sustainable volume growth, optimal returns as well as identifying opportunities for further growth and lead generation, at both existing accounts and new ones in development.
- Ensure that our target accounts are fully aware of our product range, new technology developments and initiatives.
- Deliver executive-level presentations to customer decision makers that provide them with solutions.
- Liaise with product line managers and technical teams to understanding our customers’ needs and facilitate technical support when required.
- Develop Key Account and Territory Growth plans for each customer and market segment; updating the VP of Sales on growth and opportunities.
- Support manufacturing and product line management with market, application and customer related information and ensure the CRM system is fully up to date.
- Participate proactively in tradeshows, exhibitions and conferences and in the global Sales meetings.
- Travel to customers as well as other NKT Photonics offices within Europe.
The Individual
- Proven, relevant experience of expanding and managing a Sales region, in a photonics / laser supplier environment.
- Ideal candidate would have experience in the area of fiber optic sensing, light sources for sorting/characterization or semiconductor markets.
- Hands-on experience of selling lasers to Industrial OEMs such as for semiconductor, material science,or quality control or fiber sensing is required
- A relevant qualification in Physics, Engineering, Optics is highly desirable, or substantial experience of successful laser technology sales.
- Outstanding influencing and negotiating skills; able to work collaboratively with a diverse audience to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes at all levels.
- Inspirational communicator: able to listen, build strong business relationships and present passionately and authentically at a senior level. Fluency in English - verbally and written – is required.
