On behalf of a client in our partner network, we are looking for a Strategy & Performance Manager.
About the Company
Our client is a diversified professional services firm headquartered in London, operating across management consulting, technology services, regulatory advisory, and talent solutions. They work with FTSE 100 and public sector clients, generate over £500 million in annual revenue, and are in the middle of a multi-year transformation programme aimed at simplifying the group structure and improving the consistency of performance across business lines. The strategy function leads that work and this role is central to it.
The Role
As Strategy and Performance Manager, you will sit at the intersection of strategic planning and business performance, providing the group centre with the analytical infrastructure and strategic insight needed to make good decisions and hold the business to account. You will own planning cycles, develop performance frameworks, and lead high-priority strategy workstreams that cut across business lines.
What You'll Do
Lead the group's annual and quarterly strategic planning processes, coordinating input from five business lines into coherent group-level strategy and performance narratives.
Own the corporate performance management framework, including KPI design, target setting, business reviews, and executive reporting.
Develop and maintain strategic performance dashboards and analytical tools that give the Head of Strategy and ExCo a current, accurate view of business trajectory.
Lead or contribute to strategic projects, including business line reviews, portfolio rationalisation, and transformation programme governance.
Prepare board papers, investor materials, and ExCo presentations covering strategic direction and performance outcomes.
Work closely with Finance, HR, and Business Line leadership to ensure planning processes are integrated and mutually reinforcing.
Monitor market and competitive developments relevant to the firm's positioning and bring a well-informed external perspective to internal strategic discussions.
What We're Looking For
6+ years of experience in strategy, corporate planning, or management consulting, with exposure to professional services or complex, multi-business organisations.
Proven experience designing and running strategic planning and performance management processes in a large or matrixed organisation.
Strong financial literacy; comfortable working with P&L data, budget processes, and performance modelling.
Excellent communication and synthesis skills; able to turn complex, multi-source inputs into clear, executive-ready outputs.
Relationship builder with the credibility and interpersonal skills to work effectively with senior leaders across multiple business lines.
Comfortable with ambiguity and able to bring structure to processes that are still being shaped.
Prior experience in a professional services environment, either as a consultant or in an internal strategy role, is a significant advantage.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary of £90,000 - £115,000, determined based on experience and scope.
Annual bonus reflective of individual contribution and group performance outcomes.
Additional benefits, including private health cover, pension, and leave entitlement, are detailed as part of the full offer package.
