We are New Media AV, a trade-only, B2B value-added distributor of professional hardware and software for the creative media industry. Our story began in the 1990s, born from a passion for technology and creativity shared between two childhood friends, Johannes Bauer and Tobias Trummer. As filmmakers ourselves, we often found ourselves searching for innovative tools for live production, post-production, and events that simply weren't available here in Germany. Frustrated by hearing 'I don't know... somewhere in America' one too many times, we decided to take matters into our own hands. A trip across the pond to the NAB show led to crucial connections with industry giants like Boris FX and Hollywood FX. It quickly became clear that these companies were just as interested in bringing their products to the European market as we were in using them. And so, the idea for our distribution company was born in 1996.

Today, our fascination with groundbreaking products continues to be the driving force behind everything we do. We no longer look only to America; our search for innovation spans the globe, from Australia and Japan to Taiwan and Canada. Our focus is exclusively on the B2B sector, serving a wide range of resellers, from broadcast, cine, and photography dealers to system integrators across Europe, with a particular emphasis on the DACH region, Scandinavia, and Eastern Europe. We supply them with an extensive portfolio from world-renowned manufacturers like Blackmagic Design, Aputure, Teradek, SmallHD, and BirdDog. In 2018, we were proud to become part of the Midwich Group, a leading global specialist AV distributor. This partnership has provided us with additional resources and an expanded market reach, allowing us to offer even better service to our dealers and greater market penetration for our manufacturing partners.
