Who are you
Builders. Problem-solvers. Curious minds. You are someone who doesn't just "run reports" but seeks to understand the "why" behind the numbers. You move fast, embrace innovation, and believe that data is the heartbeat of a successful fintech.
About the Role
As a SeniorData Analyst at nesto, you will bridge the gap between complex data structures and strategic business decisions. Working closely with our Data Developers and AI engineers, you will transform raw data into powerful narratives for our Operations, Marketing, and Sales departments. You will be the go-to expert for interpreting performance metrics and identifying opportunities to optimize the mortgage journey.
What you’ll do:
- Insight Generation: Analyze large datasets within BigQuery to identify trends, bottlenecks, and growth opportunities.
- Visualization: Design and maintain high-impact dashboards (Looker/PowerBI/Tableau) that empower stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.
- Collaboration: Partner with Data Developers to ensure data models are optimized for reporting and analytics.
- Automation: Utilize SQL and Python to automate recurring reporting tasks, ensuring "one version of the truth" across the organization.
- Strategic Support: Provide analytical support for A/B testing and product feature launches within the Nesto Cloud platform.
Who we’re looking for
- Education: B.S. or M.S. in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence role.
- Technical Skills: * Expert-level SQL (you can write complex joins and window functions in your sleep).
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and analysis.
- Strong experience with GCP (BigQuery) and modern BI tools (PowerBI, Looker, Tableau, or similar).
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in Fintech, Mortgage, or Financial Services is a significant plus.
- Mindset: You thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and are comfortable with "uncomfortable ambition."
- Communication: Ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
What we offer
- Employee Mortgage Program: Access to nesto's exclusive, preferred low rates.
- Time Off: Generous policy including 4 weeks of vacation per year.
- Health & Wellness: Premium benefits plan fully paid by nesto, including unlimited access to Dialogue (telemedicine) and an annual wellness budget.
- Support: 24/7 access to our Employee Assistance Program (Lifeworks) for mental health and professional counseling.
