NBCUniversal is hiring a Night Associate of Platform Operations to join a rock-solid team responsible for project managing live streams, replays, playlists and highlights from an array of sporting events across the Peacock service. We are seeking a cool-headed, detail-obsessed operator who is adept at managing the ebb and flow of a massive schedule. You will have demonstrable experience driving engagement with complex marquee events, but must also be able curate and promote the content for niche across dozens of global sports.
You will be tasked with curating the Peacock content offering across all products and audience segments, including merchandising live events and related publishing operations. It is a 24/7 operation responsible for updating content based on performance, programming tactics and events unfolding in real time, working in coordination with the Video Operations, Programming, Product, Marketing and Customer Support teams in addition to other stakeholders.
You will bring hands-on experience managing complex digital publishing projects - including digital streams from live televised sports events – along with an aptitude with a variety of content management systems and a sense of personal responsibility for the accuracy of their work.
To excel in this role, you must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, set and meet deadlines for publishing large volumes of content, own the project management of assets and logistics for multiple events, prioritize based on data and communicate fluently with Video Operations, Product, Marketing and Programming teams.
Responsibilities
- Write user facing copy for SLEs (Single Live Events) including but not limited to descriptions, titles, etc
- Assign necessary metadata and imagery to all SLEs
- Collaborate with the Creative Metadata team to ideate on image creation and athlete options for SLEs and sports experiences
- Responsible for near 24/7 coverage depending on live events and priorities, ensuring operations and promotions have no issues and functioning as the first line of triage when incidents occur
- Evaluate incidents to identify immediate solutions and work with the Impact team to escalate issues to the proper departments if necessary
- Manually add and update all SLE imagery on platform
- Manually update and optimize all SLE metadata on platform
- Assist in coverage for the Platform Operations team
- Research and report on all sports streamed within Peacock, functioning as the subject matter expert to help the team understand details when necessary
- Provide and document detailed reports to management
- Run backend product feature functionality
- 1+ years of experience working in title operations or publishing at a large-scale editorial, e-commerce, or video service
- 2+ years of experience writing, managing, and optimizing metadata
- Previous experience working on live streamed events and live streaming operations
- Intimate knowledge of NBA and Olympics preferred
- Demonstrable ability to manage an ever-changing content pipeline 7 days a week
- Exhibit excellent organization and communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to clearly and concisely articulate workflows and concepts for a variety of audiences
- Experience with Content Management Systems
- A history of establishing KPIs and targets, and then working to hit those goals.
- Ability to proactively identify opportunities to adjust processes for efficiencies, helping to develop strategies and procedures for continual improvement of editorial operations
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- A passion for sports, news, television and movies.

- Salary range: $65,000 - $75,000
