Reporting to the Director, the Rebate Account Executive will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and enhancing effective relationships with Prime Therapeutics/GPO as well as pharmaceutical manufacturers, to support negotiating contracts with respect to rebates and discounts for formulary inclusion, as well as understand manufacturer contract agreements (via GPO) to meet Navitus’ existing and future needs.
This includes managing the administration of affiliation agreements, performance programs, and reimbursement structure and payments related to those contracts. This client facing role will also be responsible for conveying rebate information and financial modeling to internal and external stakeholders.

How do I make an impact on my team?
- Quickly understand Navitus' mission, strategies, objectives, products and services, and organizational relationships
- Perform as a company representative for management of appointed lines of business (e.g., Commercial, Medicare Part D, Managed Medicaid, Exchanges)
- Proactively build and maintain strong and effective working relationships throughout Pharma, Prime (GPO), customers, Navitus, and other business partners/vendors
- Develop and successfully implement strategies and action plans for establishing and enhancing a competitive Pharma contract structure for Navitus which meets the future needs of Navitus and its customers. This includes ensuring that appropriate agreements, analytical processes, and audit programs are in place
- Work closely with Navitus' operational teams and the Prime (GPO) partner to ensure that Pharma contracts with respect to rebates and discounts are fully understood, and proactively lead the resolution of rebate issues. Support Navitus internal and client external P&T processes with financial modeling and presentations
- Partner with Navitus' leadership and provide counsel to ensure that Pharma relationships and contracting management programs that are profitably developed either directly or through the Prime relationship
- Participate and lead Pharma negotiations/Prime (GPO) and work with others to proactively seek and capitalize on opportunities to expand the scope of rebates and discounts that are obtained for the ultimate creation of the lowest net cost PBM for Navitus’ clients
- Ensure rebate contracts are executed timely, do not lapse / are in force to obtain and maximize potential collections
- Assist the Director of Industry Relations in managing new pharmacy program initiatives and the expansion of rebate forecasting and projections
- The Rebate Account Executive will work closely with a small team, use other matrix teams and directly manage either commercial or government rebate contracts.
What our team expects from you?
- MBA or applicable advanced degree with experience is negotiations and contracting preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. with 3 to 5 years of MCO/PBM/Pharma experience or having completed a residency in managed care is beneficial
- Contracting and negotiating experience with Commercial, Medicaid and Medicare Part D and medical injectable rebate contracting preferred
- If a pharmacist, should have an updated unrestricted licensure
- Up to 20% travel time required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Understanding of pharmacy management practices, contracting, products/services, cost structures, pricing, and business practices highly preferred.
- Understanding of government programs such as: 340B, Managed Medicaid, and Medicare Part D very helpful
- Demonstrated proficiency with Excel, and other Microsoft Suite core products
- A significant degree of flexibility and effectiveness in a fast paced, rapid growth entrepreneurial environment with changing priorities
- Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
- The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
