Manual Tester

Job Summary:

The Manual Tester is responsible for day-to-day testing activities, ensuring the software packages meet quality standards based on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) requirements. This role includes identifying and reporting bugs, retesting resolved issues, and collaborating with the team on QA integration testing. The tester is a crucial part of the quality assurance team, supporting the delivery of high-quality software.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Execute manual test cases for software packages per UAT requirements.
• Detect, document, and report bugs or issues encountered during the testing process.
• Support retesting of bugs or issues identified during UAT to verify their resolution.
• Collaborate with the QA team on integration testing to ensure system components work together.
• Accurately document test results, including deviations from expected outcomes and testing progress.
• Provide feedback for enhancing the testing process and overall QA workflow.

Skills/Abilities/Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in manual testing, quality assurance, or a related role.
• Familiarity with UAT processes and bug-tracking systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise testing procedures.
• Problem-solving skills for identifying issues and collaborating on their resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and team collaboration.
• Experience with integration testing is preferred.
• Experience with the Healthcare industry is nice to have.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred but not required).
• Proven experience in manual software testing, ideally within a UAT framework.
• Basic understanding of Agile QA methodologies.
• Familiarity with QA tools and practices, including test case creation and bug reporting.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
• Ability to lift 10 lbs. weight.
