The Role: We are seeking a dynamic Senior Product Owner to join our Onboarding team and drive transformational improvements in our front- and back-end processes through automation and advanced technology. In this role, you will manage and prioritize the product backlog, focusing on reengineering our onboarding workflows to deliver seamless, scalable, and resilient experiences. You’ll leverage your strong technical background and business acumen to lead the design and execution of innovative solutions, ensuring operational excellence and high-quality performance across the platform. Key Responsibilities:
Own the Onboarding Backlog: Prioritize the Onboarding team’s backlog, making value-based decisions in close collaboration with product stakeholders to ensure enhancements drive measurable business impact.
Enhance Customer Experiences: Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and design to streamline and automate both front-end onboarding experiences and back-end operational workflows.
Drive Process Automation: Execute a strategic roadmap to automate onboarding processes, reducing manual intervention while increasing speed, efficiency, and accuracy in customer transitions.
Leverage Data for Decision Making: Establish clear objectives and key results by utilizing data-driven insights. Apply this analysis to make informed business decisions that enhance the overall onboarding experience.
Continuous Discovery Mindset: Frequently talk to customers and users of our products, understanding deeply the opportunities and pain points that exist. Share early iterations and prototypes to assess alignment to actual customer problems, ensuring we development incremental products that support the real needs of our business and customers.
Foster Collaboration: Regularly engage with wider teams during the through the delivery, ensuring that the redesigned onboarding processes align with broader business strategies.
Outcome Driven Mindset: Assess new opportunities and initiatives within the onboarding space, prioritising themes that deliver maximum value aligned with the annual and quarterly OKRs that you set and are responsible for achieving with the team.
What We're Looking For:
5-7 years’ experience in a Product Owner role – Ideally coming from a background of customer onboarding and the processes within; KYC, ID&V, AML, CDD and EDD.
Strong Product Owner skills, with proven ability working within an agile scrum team environment is an absolute must.
Strategic Thinker – A strong ability to work in the short and mid-term of product development. Continually evolving your vision, whilst ensuring your upcoming product increments remain aligned to your OKRs.
Vendor Management: Experience managing third-party vendors is preferred.
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across the business, translating complex technical requirements into clear, actionable roadmaps.
Experienced in products front to back, is a champion for excellent customer experiences whilst also appreciating the back end services and architecture that is needed to support.
A background in digital transformation, ideally within investment platforms, fintech, or financial services is advantageous.
