A Day in Your Life at MKS:
Reporting to Sr. Director, Global Trade Compliance within the MKS Legal organization, and collaborating extensively with all areas of the business, this person will be a strategic and hands-on leader within the company’s Global Trade Compliance team, responsible for auditing and investigating the company’s trade activities and enhancing and optimizing the overall trade compliance program.
You WillMake An Impact By:
Conduct independent and directed trade compliance investigations and audits, and produce internal reports and governmental filings, respond to government inquiries, investigations and audits, and implement corrective actions;
Manage global trade compliance risk assessment processes and gap analysis across global locations;
Assist in the development, implementation, enhancement and maintenance of an internal trade compliance audit program, including the development and execution of audit strategy;
Drive optimization and implementation of efficient and effective global trade policies, procedures and programs throughout a global business with diverse product lines;
Utilize in-depth knowledge of export (EAR, ITAR, Wassenaar Arrangement, etc.) and Customs regulations, and apply LEAN principles;
Develop and implement trade compliance training and communication content and delivery systems;
Interpret regulatory changes and develop and implement mitigation strategies by driving projects and key initiatives.
Skills You Bring:
College degree w/8+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years of compliance risk assessment, risk management and/or audit and investigations experience;
Extensive knowledge of U.S. export & import regulations is required; J.D. is a plus;
Experience with developing and managing audit requirements and processes / Experience working with government enforcement authorities;
Ability to travel up to 20% of time.
Strong project management & process development/implementation skills in matrix organizations;
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to influence and address a wide range of audiences; ability to translate complex topics into clear and understandable concepts;
Comfortable leveraging IT-based enablers, such as data analytics, business intelligence, automation, etc.;
Accountability and the ability to work with minimal supervision and to make independent judgments;
Flexibility to meet the changing needs of the business and a willingness and ability to take on new responsibilities and assignments;
Knowledge of semiconductor industry and related technologies and products is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Pay Range: $123,500.00 - $229,500.00 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
