Solutions Architect

At Mindera, we are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join our Fintech team to lead our client's technology modernization program. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker who can design and implement robust, scalable, and secure solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both C++ and C#, with a proven track record in cloud migration, particularly to Azure.
The job holder takes responsibility for setting technical vision for the fintech change portfolio to ensure strategic alignment, consistency, and support higher velocity and autonomous delivery. They remain pragmatic and focus on business value, particularly during key client stakeholder engagements and participation in governance.
They will be required to provide technical thought leadership and ability to collaborate and communicate complex topics with client business and technology leaders, as well as fellow architects, to ensure roadmap alignment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Translating business strategic goals into enterprise-wide technology and data strategies for the design and implementation of the modernization program.
• Develop architectural blueprints and detailed documentation for the migration of existing applications to the Azure cloud platform.
• Integrate a zero-trust security model into the new cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure the performance, scalability, maintainability, and security of the application throughout the modernization process.
• Define the architectural patterns, standards, controls and processes for solutions.
• Lead the integration of the new system with other business systems and data flows.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.
• Establish and enforce standardised practices for development, deployment, and operations across the new cloud platform.
• Continuously assess and improve the health and efficiency of cloud services through monitoring and performance benchmarks.
• Build an architecture repository
• Support Solution Architects, reviewing proposed solutions and maintaining design and governance standards.
• Produce high quality documentation ensuring that all decision points, principles, rationale, roadmaps, and all interdependencies are understood, documented, and communicated across teams.
• Define and own the strategic architecture roadmap

Key Experience:

• Proven experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure.
• Deep knowledge of cloud data services from the Microsoft Azure Cloud and partner ecosystem e.g. Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks etc
• Strong understanding of security models, including zero-trust.
• Expert knowledge of banking data architecture, governance and architectural design patterns
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to present to business and technology stakeholders to gain approval for design, including architecture boards.
• Experience with database design and management, particularly SQL.
• Familiarity with the strangler pattern for application modernization.
