THE JOB:
The Lead Functional Architect will provide strategic and technical leadership for the planning, delivery, and ongoing optimization of enterprise Finance applications within the Finance Center of Excellence (COE). This role requires deep expertise in Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM, and related Finance technologies, along with the ability to translate business strategy into scalable solutions aligned with the enterprise architecture vision. The Lead Functional Architect will partner closely with business stakeholders, technology leaders, implementation partners, and agile delivery teams to ensure the stability, integrity, and continuous enhancement of a fully implemented Oracle ERP landscape while driving measurable business outcomes.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Define and execute the enterprise strategy for Finance COE corporate applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards

• Provide deep functional and technical leadership across Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM platforms, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, analytics, and system administration

• Oversee the end-to-end delivery, integration, enhancement, and support of finance applications, ensuring solution stability, scalability, and performance

• Partner with business stakeholders, Solution Architects, and delivery teams to shape product vision, elicit requirements, and translate business needs into effective technology solutions

• Lead and mentor technical teams, driving issue resolution, system optimization, testing, and quality assurance to ensure data accuracy and reliability

• Establish and enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards while managing vendor relationships and overall vendor performance

• Continuously identify opportunities to improve finance processes through emerging technologies, innovation, and best practices to drive measurable business value

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Partner with business leaders to define requirements, future-state processes, and capability roadmaps aligned to Finance COE objectives

• Provide thought leadership and ensure end-to-end architectural alignment across Oracle Cloud ERP, EPM, and Oracle E-Business Suite modules

• Design scalable, secure Oracle Cloud and EBS solutions across multiple functional domains to support enterprise growth and transformation

• Translate complex business requirements into functional designs, system configurations, and solution patterns that drive measurable outcomes

• Review and govern functional specifications for integrations, conversions, reports, and extensions, including Oracle PaaS-based solutions

• Ensure adherence to security, audit, data governance, and change management standards across all finance platforms and implementations

• Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, product owners, and the PMO, influencing roadmap decisions and multi-phase implementation strategies
