Mercy Corps is seeking a Technical Project / Product Manager to lead a 12-month MVP initiative funded by the Impact Alliance, designing an ambient voice capture technology for humanitarian data collection in low-resource languages. The role involves project management, technical implementation, consent architecture, partnerships, and community engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, International Development, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience managing complex technology projects in humanitarian, development, or non-profit contexts
  • Demonstrated experience with voice/audio technology, speech-to-text systems, NLP, or LLMS
  • Experience shipping MVPs or digital products in low-resource or field environments
  • Familiarity with humanitarian data collection tools and cloud data infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of data ethics, community consent frameworks, and responsible AI principles
  • Excellent project management, budgeting, and reporting skills
