Team’s Mission / Work Responsibilities
Team mission and expectations of the role
- As a Technical Product Manager for Platform Product, you will be responsible for building the growth platform for Mercari’s various services.

Specific work responsibilities include the following:
- Driving product planning and design, and managing the development and operations for Mercari’s growth platform
- Working closely with Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and Product Managers to compile requirements and designs, manage schedules for microservice infrastructure, and propose improvements for SRE
- Taking ownership of product delivery and driving product development
- Managing development status and clearly communicating it with all stakeholders
- Understanding the needs of Mercari’s product teams (the users of our services)
Unique and Bold Challenges
- At Mercari, we are focused not just on improving our services for our users, but also on proactively expanding our perspective and adopting new ways of thinking. In this context, our product managers must possess not only knowledge of engineering but also an eye for trends and user needs, as well as the ability to turn those opportunities into concrete business plans.
Required Qualifications
- Shared belief in the mission and values of Mercari Group and its various companies
- At least three years of technical product management experience building or utilizing cloud services, or equivalent practical work experience
- Experience configuring APIs and cloud services
- Passion for the product
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of infrastructure, cloud services, and other engineering topics
- Experience in product development using Agile development methods
- Experience in planning and management of mid- to large-scale projects
- Experience working in an English-speaking environment
- A B.S. in computer science or engineering, or equivalent practical work experience
- Leadership skills to drive people
Screening Criteria
- Capable of taking on bold challenges and learning from mistakes
- Capable of independent thinking and action and of taking initiative for the success of the team
- Possesses a strong sense of ownership over their work and puts forth their best effort in every project they’re involved in

- メルカリの様々なサービスのグロース基盤を構築する、プラットフォームプロダクトのテクニカルプロダクトマネージャーを募集しています。

具体的な業務内容は下記のとおりです。
- プロダクトのプランニングと設計の推進、およびメルカリグロースプラットフォームの開発と運用管理
- エンジニアリングマネージャー、テックリード、プロダクトマネージャーと密に連携し、要件や設計の取りまとめ、Microserviceのインフラのスケジュール管理、SREへの改善提案を行う
- プロダクトのデリバリーに責任を持ち、プロダクトの開発を推進
- 開発状況を管理し、全ステークホルダーに明確に伝える
