LMI is seeking a Deployment Manager to support an Army pilot using a data collection system to support Army movements for increased in-transit visibility using mesh technology. This position can be worked remotely.

Responsibilities

Seeking a Deployment Manager who specializes in the area of Logistics, with knowledge and experience with RF-ITV and Army tactical and strategic movement requirements, processes and procedures. This position will be responsible for gathering requirements to support Army deployments to include all mesh tags, assets, repeaters and gateways as well as contracting personnel to mobilize in support of Army movements. The position will also be required to provide subject matter expertise for the work described in the program/task.

  • Help identify and collect all RFID, mesh and system requirements necessary to support Army transportation requirements.
  • Acquire, inventory, track, store, deploy and account for all RFID, mesh and system hardware required to support tactical Army movements.
  • Participate in all stages of transportation planning, providing logistics Subject Matter Expertise to support Army tactical surface movements using next generation RFID technology to advance In-Transit Visibility.
  • Communicate with clients and senior Army leaders through various means to include written reports and oral presentations to ensure all movement requirements are identified and understood.
  • Communicate with clients to assess current transportation operations, identifying areas for improvement and how to leverage data system and mesh technology to achieve in-transit visibility.
  • Coordinate support to ensure personnel and equipment are staged in the right locations at the right times to enable timely and efficient set up and use of next generation RFID assets and systems to support Army deployment operations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in areas such as transportation planning, asset tagging, RFID use/deployment and asset tracking.
  • Develop comprehensive strategies and action plans to leverage mesh technology and the data collection system to achieve Total Asset Visibility.
  • Understand Army Transportation Management Systems and movement data requirements to support interface with the data collection system.
  • Understand common transportation hardware devices: scanners, mobile readers, mobile computers, printers, RF/Barcode equipment, labels, etc.

Qualifications

MINIMUM:

As part of this function, this position shall, at a minimum, meet the following qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Undergraduate degree required. Degree in supply chain management, international relations or business is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of DoD operational logistics, the RF-ITV and TC-AIMS systems and operation.
  • 10+ years Army transportation experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Army Logistics, especially regarding transportation.
  • Strong quantitative skills, including the ability to use spreadsheets, database, and prepare briefing materiel.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly acquire and apply domain-specific expertise through on-the-job training and professional development training.
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must have DoD Secret clearance or higher with the ability to maintain a Common Access Card.
  • Available for occasional travel.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Retired Senior Army Logistics Officer, Army Mobility Warrant Officer or NCO highly preferred (88N).
  • Knowledge of mesh technology.
