JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking for a Network Operations Center Technician for various large-scale projects.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for monitoring network systems and infrastructure
  • Responsible for providing first-level technical support and rapid resolution of incidents and problems.
  • The technician will work as part of a team to maintain the health and performance of network operations.
  • Monitor network systems, servers and applications using monitoring tools.
  • Track key performance indicators and identify potential problems before they impact services.
  • Respond to alerts and incidents in a timely manner.
  • Investigate and diagnose incidents, including network outages and performance problems.
  • Provide first-level troubleshooting and technical support for network-related problems.
  • Escalate complex problems to higher level technicians for further investigation and resolution.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of incidents, troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
  • Update logs and reports to track incident resolution and network performance.
  • Communicate with other IT teams and stakeholders to provide updates on incident status and resolution.
  • Participate in regular audits of network systems and processes.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to ongoing initiatives.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in network operations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts, protocols and technologies (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and software.
  • Knowledge of operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux) and network devices (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and help other team members.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
