Inside Leonardo Space Division we are looking for a Remote Sensing Engineer (SAR) based in Roma plant.
Job Responsibilities:
Design data processing pipelines and single processing modules focused on SAR data exploitation
Analyse, evaluate and implement applications focusing on SAR data exploitation
Draft/review technical documentation and presentations.
Education:
Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering / Software Engineering / Mathematics / Physics or related field/experience
Preference will be given to candidates holding a PhD.
Seniority:
Junior: 0-1 years.
Preference will be given to Master Thesis on subjects crossed to specific key competencies (see below).
Key Competencies:
Experience in SAR data analysis and interferometric techniques
Knowledge of concepts related to interferometric processing of SAR data (e.g. coregistration, interferogram generation, phase unwrapping)
Solid understanding of radar physics and imaging geometry
Experience with specialized tools (e.g., SNAP, ISCE2, GMTSAR, GAMMA) is a plus
Experience with AI applied to SAR is considered a plus
Strong programming skills (Python, C/C++)
