Overview:

We are seeking a Vice President of Engineering to lead a major technology and organizational transformation. This executive will modernize our data platform, increase engineering velocity, and build a high-performing, globally distributed engineering organization.

This role is ideal for an engineering leader who has successfully scaled teams, transitioned organizations from services-heavy delivery to product platforms, and built modern data foundations that support growth, reliability, and compliance.

This is a high-impact executive role with ownership over the technology platform, engineering organization, and delivery outcomes that directly support a growing revenue base. The VP of Engineering will play a central role in shaping how the company scales—technically, operationally, and culturally.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive the migration from siloed, service-level databases to a unified data intelligence platform.
  • Lead architecture and execution of a Databricks Lakehouse environment to create a governed, enterprise-wide source of truth.
  • Shift engineering from client-specific work to reusable data products, APIs, and shared platforms.
  • Establish Infrastructure as Code and automation to ensure reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Design and operate a “Follow the Sun” engineering model with strong ownership across regions.
  • Reduce dependency on contractors through structured knowledge transfer and transition to full-time ownership.
  • Deliver a measurable improvement in engineering delivery times
  • Implement and manage DORA metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, MTTR).
  • Optimize SDLC and CI/CD pipelines to support data engineering and platform development at scale.
  • Advance Agile maturity from process-driven execution to outcome-focused delivery.
  • Ensure engineering practices meet SOC 2, ISO 27001, and ISO 42001 compliance requirements.

What You'll Bring:

  • 10+ years in engineering leadership, including 3+ years at the Director or VP level.
  • Proven success driving major transformations (e.g., Services to SaaS, On-Prem to Cloud).
  • Strong background in modern data architectures and the Databricks ecosystem (Spark, Lakehouse, ETL/ELT).
  • Experience building scalable platforms, data products, and APIs.
  • Ability to translate technical strategy into clear execution plans.
  • Demonstrated success leading distributed teams across multiple time zones and cultures.
  • Strong change management skills and executive communication.
  • Experience managing engineering budgets, including cloud spend, headcount costs, and contractor optimization.

In addition to competitive salaries, full-time employees enjoy a great benefits package:

  • Multiple Medical, Dental & Vision plans
  • 401k with company match and immediate vesting
  • Generous paid time off package and 11 paid holidays
  • And much more!
