POSITION SUMMARY

Krause Landscape is seeking a talented General Manager to join the team. The General Manager at Krause is responsible for shaping the strategic direction of the company and leading teams to achieve operational excellence. This role oversees daily business activities, ensures strong financial performance, develops high‑performing teams, and drives long‑term growth aligned with Krause’s mission, values, and business objectives. The General Manager serves as a key decision‑maker and culture carrier, ensuring the business operates efficiently, profitably, and ethically.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

  • Develop and execute business strategies that support Krause’s long‑term objectives.
  • Lead annual planning, goal setting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Identify new markets, partnerships, revenue opportunities, and operational improvements.
  • Monitor industry trends to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.

Operational Management & Planning

  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations to ensure efficiency, quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Implement processes, procedures, and systems that improve consistency and performance.
  • Develop KPIs to track operational health and performance, report outcomes to leadership.
  • Ensure optimal resource allocation across departments to meet business demands.

Financial Oversight

  • Manage the P&L, ensuring revenue and profitability expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Control expenses and improve margins through operational discipline and innovation.
  • Review financial reports and take corrective action when performance deviates from targets.

People Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing leadership team.
  • Establish a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with HR to drive labor needs, employee development, and succession planning.
  • Foster an inclusive workplace aligned with Krause’s values.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining product/service excellence.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, partners, vendors, and community stakeholders.
  • Represent Krause in key external meetings, events, and negotiations.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Identify business risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Champion safety, quality assurance, and ethical standards across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Operations, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 8–12+ years of progressive leadership experience, including managing teams and P&L ownership.
  • Experience in residential landscaping is highly preferred but not required.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to shape strategic and operational decisions.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and people‑management skills.
  • Proven ability to drive growth, streamline operations, and improve financial performance.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Skillfully balances short‑term wins with long‑term sustainability.
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into action plans and align teams to execute.
  • High integrity, emotional intelligence, and a collaborative leadership style.
  • Strong track record in driving organizational change and operations excellence.
