Kodak Alaris – Data Analyst / Data Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Analyst – Data Engineer to support, enhance, and advance our Modern Data Estate. This role will be instrumental in transforming raw data into actionable insights, optimizing data workflows, and ensuring the integrity and performance of our analytics platform. The candidate will work with a robust Azure-based, Modern Data Estate architecture, including ADLS Gen2, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Power BI, integrating data from core business systems such as D365 Finance and Operations and ServiceMax.
Duties:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable solutions
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across the Modern Data Estate.
- Document data processes, and workflows for transparency and maintainability.
- Enhance and optimize the creation and use of DIM and FACT tables to support reporting and analytics needs.
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Synapse stored procedures and other Azure services.
- Maintain and improve the ADLS Gen2 Data Lake structure and data ingestion processes.
- Support, troubleshoot and improve Power BI reports and dashboards that rely on curated datasets.
- Monitor overall Modern Data Estate performance.
- Assess usage of data assets and take appropriate actions (e.g. removing unused data tables).
- Increase company awareness on the data we have and how it could be used i.e. shifting from “reporting and results” to “analytics and insights”.
Qualifications and Working Knowledge:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
- Familiarity with T-SQL (or similar query tool)
- Understanding of Modern Data Estate design principles
- Several years working with data in various environments
- Experience with developing and using data models and tables
- Working knowledge of Power BI, ideally including DAX and Power Query
- Experience with D365 Finance and Operations and/or ServiceMax a plus:
◦ Understanding of underlying data tables and structures ◦ Integrating data from the application into a Data Lakehouse ◦ Business acumen regarding use of the application
Experience Specifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Science, or equivalent related experience
- 3+ years working experience in data analytics
Compensation: $95k-125k USD (based on experience)
