Senior Finance Manager, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)

About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior Finance Manager for Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to transform data into decisions. In this key leadership role, you’ll partner with RCM Operations, field leadership, and executive teams to drive financial insight, improve forecast accuracy, and optimize cash collections and AR performance.
This is a highly analytical and strategic position—ideal for someone passionate about healthcare finance, operational excellence, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Management & Insights
Lead KPI reporting and analysis for RCM leadership and executive teams.
Analyze AR evolution to identify trends and recommend actions to reduce aging.
Cash Analytics & Forecasting
Monitor and analyze weekly cash deposits and postings to accelerate collections.
Translate reimbursements, payer mix, denial trends, and AR aging into accurate forecasts for cash and net revenue.
Monthly Closing
Partner with Accounting on monthly close processes including net revenue, contractual allowances, and GTN rate reviews.
Monitor collection rates by aging and recommend updates to provision rates.
Ensure KPI tie-outs to GL/financial statements and maintain standardized definitions.
RCM Reporting & Field Support
Develop and implement regular reporting of key RCM metrics for each practice and region.
Collaborate with RCM leaders to monitor billing, claims, and collections by payor.
Track and analyze overall RCM cost (internal and vendor spend).
System Integration (Encompass)
Perform pre–go-live data analysis and KPI validation.
Conduct post–go-live data reconciliation and monitoring to identify potential gaps.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
Experience:
6–10+ years in Finance, FP&A, or RCM analytics within a healthcare provider setting (multisite experience preferred).
Proven ability to manage large data sets and translate analysis into actionable insights.
Skills:
Advanced proficiency with Excel and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
Strong project management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills—able to translate operational detail into executive-level insights.
High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally and independently.
Reporting Structure
Reports to: VP, Revenue Cycle Management (dotted line to CFO)
Interacts with: Executives, RCM team, BI team, Treasury, Field Operations
